Strategic Security Solutions is a small business with a lot of passion and a big vision.
We started out the way many small businesses do with a desire to do good work and take care of customers and have evolved over the years. Today, we see a significant gap in the electronic security market with many of the middle-tier security integration firms getting acquired by larger firms leaving customers fewer choices. We want to step into that gap and give customers a quality choice for a middle-market ($10M-$100M as we define it) security integrator with regional, national, and global expertise.

Chief Executive Officer
Jay has over twenty two (22) years of commercial security expertise, a solid understanding of IP networking, and a range of certifications. He was named among SSN’s “20 Under 40” integrators, and Strategic Security Solutions has been repeatedly named among SDM’s Top Integrators. As an early adopter of OSDP, Jay has made OSDP training a company priority.
Ron has over twenty (20) years of combined experience in the electronics and security industry. He has worked in a multitude of roles in the security integration industry and has worked directly with numerous clients in the power and utilities industries since 2000.
Ron has served in roles such as Engineer, Physical Security Manager, Security Systems Designer, and Field Technical Representative and has worked on countless industrial security projects. Prior to entering the private sector, Ron served in the US Army where he was an Army Ranger and
Special Forces Engineer with the 10th Special Forces Group in Ft. Carson, CO.
Chief Financial Officer
Justina has over fifteen (15) years of corporate accounting experience in a range of industries, including 7 years in the commercial security industry. She is the leader of S3’s finance team and is responsible for managing the company’s financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, cash flow analysis, and long run planning. Since joining the company in September 2020, Justina has been instrumental in implementing a new ERP system that has integrated and streamlined company workflow and data management processes. Prior to joining S3, she served as a Controller in the corporate finance department of Allied Universal Technology Services. Justina is a licensed CPA and obtained her Masters in Accountancy from the University of Alabama.
Director of Program Management
Pat has over twenty seven (27) years of commercial security experience and has complete responsibility for the Raleigh operation. Prior to joining S3, Pat worked for several national organizations and has served in many roles including sales, sales management, technical, as well as local and Senior Level Regional Management positions. Pat?s leadership style draws heavily upon his formal military leadership training and experience gained through his 12 years of service in the United States Marine Corps.
Branch Manager (Raleigh)
Jay has over nine (9) years of commercial security experience and is a twenty four (24) veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Prior to joining S3, Jay served several roles of increasing responsibility including Systems Designer, Operations Manager, Sales Director, and VP of Sales & Operations. Jay retired from the Marine Corps as Master Sergeant and had the privilege to serve in multiple combat deployments as an Infantryman. During his time in the military, he was responsible for planning and conducting combat operations with various allied countries.
Jay holds a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree from Crown College in Powell, TN.
Branch Manager (Pittsburgh & Lynchburg)
Ken has over thirty five (35 )years of combined experience in the electronics and security industry. He has worked directly with numerous clients in the power utilities, manufacturing, and higher education industry since 1986. Ken joined the S3 team in 2020 and has served roles in the industry of General Manager, Regional Operations Manager, National Service Manager, Project Manager, Field Technical Representative as well as Systems Installation and has worked on countless industrial and commercial security projects. He is very experienced in working with subcontractors and vendors.
He currently holds the position of Branch Manager for the Pittsburgh region with primary responsibilities to manage and over-see day to day operations for all aspects of the business.
Ken holds an Associate degree in Applied Electronic Technology and Theory and has obtained a Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) designation.
